Mission
The Sales team at Telefónica is responsible for winning and looking after our biggest and most valuable customers around the world. We create solutions from across Telefónica Business Solutions’ portfolio of products and services for major multinational clients.
Main responsibilities
- Ability to hunt and penetrate accounts and establish personal presence at the executive level in the US, in particular at the assigned portfolio
- Ability to create, drive and close pipeline – “Take the lead and drive the customer”
- Excellent customer communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively take a customer to a global solutions model
- Aggressive pursuit, identify and close new accounts
- Ability to coordinate and bring together all the right Telefonica parties to deliver a solution such as Pricing, Legal, Engineering, Provisioning, International Services
- Identify and close new accounts
- Transmitting the customer’s needs inside the organization
- Draw up offers with the partnership of the pre sales engineering team
- Verify the viability of the customer’s needs
- Provide leads with new and existing business partners for the generation of contract agreements.
- Maintain excellent relationships with executives that will allow the organization to have recurrent clients and increase the sales of our services to such institutions over the years.
- Use effective prospecting and account penetration skills to identify, filter and qualify leads and effectively create, manage and close pipeline of new accounts.
- Ability to be strategic, possess strong analytical skills and negotiation skills.
- Prepare and present formal presentations and use excellent consultative solution selling skills to ensure long-term relationship building and meet business goals.
- Build strong relationship with the Product Development, Quality Assurance & Quality Control business partner(s) and key resources within the company.
- Achieves assigned sales quota in designated strategic accounts.
- Meets assigned expectations for profitability.
- Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by company management.
- Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards.
- Build strong relationships with customers at all levels. Build trust and loyalty with users, influencers, champions and C-level executives to retain and expand business opportunities.
Education required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
- Would be a plus to have: Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills in IoT, Cloud, Security, SDN and Big Data.
- Strong knowledge and exposure to Outsourcing and IT.
- Understanding of the whole E2E delivery of a Digital product and associated services.
Professional experience
5+ years of B2B direct sales experience of IT/Telecom services
Technical knowledge
- Proven experience managing both direct accounts ("Fortune 1000") and indirect channel partners, selling IT/Telecom solutions worldwide.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong sale skills and experience selling professional services in the IT sector.
- High level of self-confidence and effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively structure a sales package and ability to define the economic benefits of the professional services.
- Preferred experience with multinational markets particularly in the IT sector.
- Domestic travel will be required.
